MATCHDAY EMPIRE works offline and does not collect personal data. Saved games, settings and crash logs are stored only on your computer. There is no advertising, analytics, tracking or sale of data to third parties.

What is stored on your computer

• Your saved games and their backups.
• Your preferences: volume, visual theme, language and accessibility options.
• A random installation identifier generated on your computer. It is not a hardware identifier and cannot be used to recognise you outside that installation.
• The most recent crash reports, with technical data (version, operating system and error trace).

When anything leaves your computer

• Online multiplayer: only if you create or join a room. The game connects to our online server, api.matchdayempire.com, which runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers). The server receives your nickname, the room name and settings, the world seed, your in-game actions, a copy of the room's game state and any chat messages you write, and relays them to the other participants in that room. The room password is only stored hashed. As with any internet connection, the server and Cloudflare also receive your IP address; we use it only to limit abusive requests and failed join attempts, and those records are deleted within minutes. All of a room's data is deleted automatically when it expires (72 hours without activity) or when its host closes it.
• Images from our CDN: the game's artwork ships inside the installed package. If any image is downloaded from our content delivery network, matchday.b-cdn.net (Bunny.net), Bunny.net receives your IP address and the technical details of the request, as with any web download. None of your saved-game data is sent to it.
• Licences: the game is sold only through digital stores, and the store manages the licence. The game does not send keys or identifiers to activate itself.
• Crash reports: never sent automatically. They only leave your computer if you copy them and send them to us yourself.

Stores

If you buy the game from a digital store, that store handles your purchase and account data under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details.

This website

This site uses no cookies or analytics tools. Our hosting provider may log technical connection data, such as your IP address, to serve and protect the site.

Your rights and contact

Because game data lives on your computer, uninstalling the game and deleting its data folder removes it completely. For any question, or to exercise your rights of access, rectification or erasure, write to support@matchdayempire.com.
